But, with the invention of roll film and the launch of affordable mini cameras, practically everyone was able to take snapshots during trips or at family parties – almost as easily as with today’s smartphones.
In 1930, the Kodak company wanted to bring a particularly trendy camera onto the market as a sales hit for Christmas. The Gift Camera fits into a handbag and was conceived as an ideal present for women. There was no need for extra packaging because the camera came in this decorative box.
